Fostered dogs. Part 1

Hi Pals,

Since its beginning of a New Year, I think I have to be good so that Santa will put me on his "Good Girl" list and send me some Christmas goodies end of this year. So, I agreed to help jie jie make a blog entry of the dogs she had fostered.

We would like to begin this post by giving tributes to 2 angels who had crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Brown Brown and Ma Fan (means troublesome in Chinese).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brown Brown was hospitalised when she show signs of discomfort after the first 2 jab for hearworm treatment. She was put on drip but that did not manage to save her. She died of heart attack on the 3rd day she was in the hospital. Brown Brown is camera shy and she never want to look at the camera so we had only 1 picture of her which we have some how lost. But we will always remember how she look like in our heart. Brown Brown had lived a very tough life being a stray dog. She had survived Distemper as a puppy. Among this batch of dogs, there were many that needed to be treated for heartworm but only Brown Brown faces complication from the treatment. Poor girl. I hope she is now carefree and happy in god's garden.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ma Fan was the youngest pup among all the dogs that came to us. Till now we still do not know what had caused her death. We found her dead in the morning when she was still all healthy and bouncing around the day before. Here are some pictures of this cutie.

Look at her round tummy. When asleep, no matter how you tickle or shake her, she will never wake up. The only way to wake her up to to place food near her and you will see raising her head instantly and her nose will follow the smell of the food even when her eyes are still close. LOL!

Ma Fan is very food motivated. Jie jie managed to train her to sit to wait to be fed and give her paws for food even before she is 2 months old.
After we have loss Ma Fan, jie jie insisted that her rescuer send all the puppies for vet check and vaccination if they were to be fostered by us cos we do not want have another puppy to die of unknown cause again. RIP, Brown Brown and Ma Fan. We will always remember you. Run free, our angels. Till we meet again.

As promised, here are some pictures of Cookie as a puppy.

Cookie trying to perform nose removal surgery for Snoopy. hee...
Her look hasn't change much except for her right ear which was bittened by her nanny. The bit had caused some internal bleeding and it subsequently hardened and form a lumps at the tip of her right ear.
Did you notice that he left ear look different from her right?

This is Xiao Bai (Xiao means Little and Bai means White, in Chinese. Name by the Stray feeder).

She is also the self appointed Nanny for the 2 puppies, Cookie and Ma Fan.She was exceptionally close to Cookie. They share treats together,

sleep together,and they play wrestling together.
Xiao Bai is a very domineering dog. She even tried to attack me once when she is trying to get some loving from jie jie and I came near her. She suddenly lounge at me and pin me to the ground. I suffered a few bruises and got body aches for many days.
Jie jie had never expected this to happen and especially not from Xiao Bai but we guess she might be deprived of love and really didn't want to share jie jie's attention with me.
On the morning we found Ma Fan's lifeless body, Xiao Bai licking her as thou trying to revive her. I guess she was in shock that one of her charges would just left her like that and from then on, she got really close to Cookie. The 2 were simply inseparable but when Cookie came back to us after a failed adoption trail. (Cookie appeared to be tramatised and suffered some scratches on the forhead.) Xiao Bai begin to reject her.

Cookie was feeling really insecured and started to snap at any strangers who try to pet her even daddy and her rescuer. So she stick very closely to Xiao Bai and that irritated her nanny immersely thats how she got bittened and one of bites had given Cookie her unique ear.
This is Chocolate. One of Ma Fan's Siblings.

Look at how she like to sniff my butt. hee...

Cookie and Chocolate playing together.June, Cookie and Chocolate. June is also one of Ma Fan's siblings.
June was only with us for a few days after being returned by one of the adopters.
This is Xiao Hei (Xiao means Little, Hei means black, in Chinese)

This is Jan Jan.
Xiao Hei, Xiao Bai and Jan Jan were the first 3 dogs to have arrived at our place.

We will show you some more dogs in the next post. So stay tuned.

Oh that is so sad. So glad that your mom made sure that nothing happened to the other pups. All those puppies are so cute. Mom wants them all but we have no room...

That was so great of your mom to foster all those pups!
Ma Fan looks just like my mom's rottweiler when she was a pup. And that was the only way to wake Bella up too - let her smell some food!!

Snowball!

You and your family are very sweet to help so many foster pups! I especially appreciate it since Stella & I were both rescue dogs who needed some foster care before coming to our girl's house.

Every photo we saw made us want to jump through the pooter screen and play and snuggle with the dogs! My girl has only fostered a few dogs since she got me, but she can't imagine how hard it is when one of them dies, and you had two such puppies.

We're sending extra goober smooches to you and jiejie and everyone in your house who helps with the foster pups! No one else may ever know what you do for these pups, but the pups definitely know!

Goober love,
STanley
