Wig.

Hi Pals,

Thank you for all your well wishing. I have completed the course of anti biotic given by the vet and I am not having soft stool anymore but I still have to continue with the liver supplements prescribed by the vet.

Jie jie says that she is really proud of me cos even thou I hated to take medication, I still come to her and did not struggle or try to run away when she fed me the medication. I promise to be good and I believe I will have a good results for my next blood test. Thank you again for all the prayers and good thoughts.

From my previous post, most of you agree that when hooman get bored, they like to make fun of us to entertain themselves. Its a sad fact that we can never escape. I have more live proofs to show you guys how much I have to put up with for having such nasty hooman.

During one of our visits to our beach some months back, the hoomans feel that we should do something different. They make wig for Chilli and me using seaweed.

What do you think of my green wig?

I think I look like an alien from some other planet!

This is Chilli in her wig.

She think that the sea weed is tasty. hee...
Sigh... I wish the hoomans will never make fun of us like that again.

Visit to Pulau Ubin.

Hi Pals,

I am going to introduce to you one of our small islands, Pulau Ubin. The pictures were taken 2 weeks ago. I hope you will enjoy this post.

In order to get to Pulau Ubin, we have to take the bum boat. This is the harbor that the we board the boat. Per ride cost only SGD2.50.
Gussie, these pictures are for you. This is how bum boats look like. I do not know why it is called bum boat. Perhaps its because these boats are always parked alongside one another and the waves from the sea causes them to bum against one another. So, one of the characteristic of these bum boat is that there are tyres tied by its side to protect the side of the boats
A closer look at the bum boat.
We have boarded the bum boat. See you later, Singapore main land.

We reach Ubin about 10 mins later. It looks like we have step back in time for 20 years. The following pictures are going to show you what Singapore was like 20 years ago.
This is how a Rainforest look like. See, so many trees growing in water. There are lots of mosquitoes too so remember to bring along insect repellent if you have a chance to visit Ubin one day.

Can you guess what this is?
Its a petrol kiosk. Can you believe it?

We rented a bicycle with basket big enough for me to ride in.

Can you guess what these people were doing?
These people are bird watchers.
Please enlarge this picture and you can see little white spots at the other side of the lake. Those are some sort of cranes.

There are several residents on the island who sell drinks at their house. You can get soft drinks and refreshing coconut drinks easily.
This is the uncle whom we bought a coconut drink from and we saw him doing this. He told us that the root of this plants can treat blood cancer and it took him 1 year grow them. He has some other herbs that he said that is good for treating liver cancer. I have no idea if these herbs really work but according to him, many people was cured by this herbs.

As we cycle further, it started to rain suddenly.
Look at how heavy the rain was.

We found a shelter to take cover in while waiting for the rain to stop.
It was a long wait. We were at the shelter look at the rain and trees for about 45mins before the rain stops.
This is the bicycle that took us around.

At the end of the trip we were back to the harbor. We did not manage to take much pictures as we decided on this trip that very morning and jie jie's batteries wasn't charged. We bought some batteries from the shop but these alkaline battery dun last long on our digital camera. I promise to take more pictures if I visited the place again.

Bye, Pulau Ubin...

Jie jie did another painting. She has stolen pictures from one of our DWB pals' blog. Can you guess who they are?

Sorry for the lack of post. I have been having a bad tummy for the past few days. Jie jie says if I dun get well by tomorrow, I am going to visit my vet again and she refuse to give me my favourite fish treats. She gave me an extra teaspoon of Manuka Honey instead. Hoomans are just strange. They bring you to the vet when you dun poo and also bring you to the vet when you poo more... Whats up in their head? I really dun understand... Sigh... I got to rest now. I hope to recover by tomorrow.

Chilling Out at the Pets Cafe.

The weather has been really hot here but jie jie is very stingy and didn't want to keep the air con on for us. Then she came out with a brilliant idea. She decided to bring me to somewhere with aircon. We went to the Earth Cafe. I met some dogs there. I tried to challenge all big dogs that step into the cafe. There is a Schnauzer puppy that play too rough with me so I ended up being placed on the chair to watch the activities that is going around in the cafe.

Well, its not that bad. At least better than having to bare with the hot weather without air con.
I got bored after sometime and doze off...

Do you have a better suggestion on how I can spend a hot hot afternoon?

Going to the Mall.

Hi Pals,

I think many of you know that I go to the Mall almost everyday. I will become restless if my hoomans dun bring me there for too long. This is how I go to the Mall.

In a bicycle basket. Jie jie installed the biggest basket she can find on daddy's bicycle.

I will stand up and bark when I see another dog. Most of the time, they dun even know who is barking at them cos they are not tall enough to see me. hee...
Sometimes I give rides to my friends. Nope... I dun like it at all.
Isn't it obvious?
Most people from the Mall know me and my daddy. They refer to me as "uncle's dog" Sometimes when jie jie bring me to the Mall, she will see strangers calling me by my name and some will even approach us to ask "Is this uncle's dog? No wonder she look so familiar. How come uncle is not here today?" See, this is how popular I am. More people know me than my jie jie. hee...

I hope you will have some fun outings too!

A Very Busy Weekend

Hi Pals,

This is gonna be a very busy and fun weekend! I was invited to attend 2 Pawty and its both overnight pawty! Wooohooo!!! I have never spent the night outside with only my paw pals. Isn't that just great?

I have accepted Gussie's invitation to go to the SuperBowl Pawty since last month. This Pawty is hosted jointly by Gus and Joey. There will even be a special performance by Tanner and Teka, so I couldn't miss it. You can see the preparation for the pawty from Joey and Tanner's Blog and also Gus's Blog
Joey had prepared many tents for everypups but I think I should bring along my cushion so that I can sleep more comfortably at night.

and then my good pal, Verdi, from Spain, decide to have a surprise pawty for her sibling, Gaucho's Barkday.
Verdi said that its going to be a bandana pawty so I put on the sweet pink bandana my Swiss Aire pal, Faya sent me some time ago.
Since I am going to pawty for the whole weekend, Jie jie wanted me to bring along my supplements. YUCKS! What a bummmmer...
(I will throw them into the bin once jie jie is out of sight! Shh..hh.. please dun tell her about it.)
Talking about pawtying for the whole weekend, I better catch as much sleep as I can so that I have more energy play later.

I am heading for the airport to wait for Aire Ruby to pick me up.
Weee... I have never attended 2 pawty in 1 weekend! It must be really FUN!BUT WAIT!!!

Can some pup please tell me how I can be at 2 pawty at the same time?

Dog Show - 26 Aug 07

Hi Pals,

In my last post, I mentioned that I went to a dog show. Here are some pictures to share.

I went there on my pram as my nasty jie jie didn't want to carry me.

Do I look pretty?

Can you recognise this girl? Hee..Hee..

Yeah...Thats Chilli. This is the first time she put on a dress. She looks pretty in dress dun she?

This is another of my neighbour. Her name is Monster. I wonder which part of her looks like a monster? According to her mummy, she is a destroyer and has destroyed countless items at home but she looks like an angel so never judge a book by its cover...err..rr.. or a dog by its look... Hee...Hee...

I mention that I saw an amazing dog on wheels during the dog show. Below are some pictures of him. His name is Will. He was rescued by a local dog rescue organisation ASD (Action for Singapore Dog). There was a speech given on that day to tell the public about the type of lives the stray dogs in Singapore are leading. Will was said to be found with his hind legs gone and he managed to survive on his own without his hind legs and big open wounds for 1 month before he was rescued. Now he is happily adopted by a dog lover who goes all out to help animals that are in critical condition.

You can read more about Will from here.

Looking at Will, dun you all feel that we are really lucky? There are many more stray dogs out there that are still struggling for survivor and facing the cruelty in life that is beyond our imagination. Please pray for them.

Snowball
