Happy Barkday to ME and My Bday Twinny, Blue!!!

Hi Pals,

As some of you might know, I have officially turn 11 TODAY!!! We are having a quiet Bday celebration.

To begin the day with, jie jie prepared for me a delicious breakie.

My breakie consist of alphabet pasta, go ji berry,
pan fried salmon and

My favouriterest canned food. Jie jie got feedback from some vet that lots of dogs that feed on this canned food gets urine crystallisation but since I like it and its my bday, jie jie decided to give it to me as a treat. Yummm!!!

Does this look delicious to you?
I was in doubt at first. But once I started eating, I couldn't stop.

Everything taste yummy!

Can you tell that I am really enjoying my Bday breakie? heee...

Jie jie even bought a frozen cheesecake and added blueberry yogurt and mashed peaches to it.It dun look too appealing but its delicious!
I am glad to see that both daddy and mummy enjoyed my bday cake!

Jie jie did another painting of me on a new pouch as a pressie for herself. I wonder why is it that she gets a pressie when its my bday... can anyone tell me why?

My friend, Moo Moo, the dainty Shih Tsu, gave me 2 outfits last night.

This is a pink sweater with jeans skirt attached.

Do you think I look pretty? The 2nd outfit is a nurse uniform. I think I am now ready to join Asta NY and her team of nurses to go around the world to take care of our sick pals, now that I have the proper attire to wear.

That's all for now. I heard that we are having roast lamb leg with mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. I will of course be sharing it with my hoomans and I will be going to the Mall to play with my friends after dinner.

Thank you to all my pals who have sent me ecards and left bday messages for me. I will update that in another post. So long for now....

I would like to wish my Bday Twinny, Blue, a very happy Bday,

and Happy Mother's Day to all the mommy in the world!

Luv

Visit to Pulau Ubin.

Hi Pals,

I am going to introduce to you one of our small islands, Pulau Ubin. The pictures were taken 2 weeks ago. I hope you will enjoy this post.

In order to get to Pulau Ubin, we have to take the bum boat. This is the harbor that the we board the boat. Per ride cost only SGD2.50.
Gussie, these pictures are for you. This is how bum boats look like. I do not know why it is called bum boat. Perhaps its because these boats are always parked alongside one another and the waves from the sea causes them to bum against one another. So, one of the characteristic of these bum boat is that there are tyres tied by its side to protect the side of the boats
A closer look at the bum boat.
We have boarded the bum boat. See you later, Singapore main land.

We reach Ubin about 10 mins later. It looks like we have step back in time for 20 years. The following pictures are going to show you what Singapore was like 20 years ago.
This is how a Rainforest look like. See, so many trees growing in water. There are lots of mosquitoes too so remember to bring along insect repellent if you have a chance to visit Ubin one day.

Can you guess what this is?
Its a petrol kiosk. Can you believe it?

We rented a bicycle with basket big enough for me to ride in.

Can you guess what these people were doing?
These people are bird watchers.
Please enlarge this picture and you can see little white spots at the other side of the lake. Those are some sort of cranes.

There are several residents on the island who sell drinks at their house. You can get soft drinks and refreshing coconut drinks easily.
This is the uncle whom we bought a coconut drink from and we saw him doing this. He told us that the root of this plants can treat blood cancer and it took him 1 year grow them. He has some other herbs that he said that is good for treating liver cancer. I have no idea if these herbs really work but according to him, many people was cured by this herbs.

As we cycle further, it started to rain suddenly.
Look at how heavy the rain was.

We found a shelter to take cover in while waiting for the rain to stop.
It was a long wait. We were at the shelter look at the rain and trees for about 45mins before the rain stops.
This is the bicycle that took us around.

At the end of the trip we were back to the harbor. We did not manage to take much pictures as we decided on this trip that very morning and jie jie's batteries wasn't charged. We bought some batteries from the shop but these alkaline battery dun last long on our digital camera. I promise to take more pictures if I visited the place again.

Bye, Pulau Ubin...

Jie jie did another painting. She has stolen pictures from one of our DWB pals' blog. Can you guess who they are?

Sorry for the lack of post. I have been having a bad tummy for the past few days. Jie jie says if I dun get well by tomorrow, I am going to visit my vet again and she refuse to give me my favourite fish treats. She gave me an extra teaspoon of Manuka Honey instead. Hoomans are just strange. They bring you to the vet when you dun poo and also bring you to the vet when you poo more... Whats up in their head? I really dun understand... Sigh... I got to rest now. I hope to recover by tomorrow.

Luv,
